Wow what an experience! On our last day in Africa our team spent the day on a safari at Kruger National Park. We had a lot of great encounters with God's beautiful creations and two rather unique happenings. First we came across this herd of elephants which was a much larger herd than usual according to our guide. There were a total of 16 elephants in this herd, including three baby elephants. They came extremely close to us before going underneath the bridge that we were parked on. It was so cool!
The second unique situation was the temperatures that day. We set a record at Kruger that day when the temperatures hit 122 degrees! Even the wind that was blowing was hot. It was like sitting in a chair at a bonfire and your chair was too close to the fire, only you could not move away. Our weather before that had been cooler than usual, but I think God did not want us to leave without feeling the real thing.
Dear Lord, I thank you for Kruger National Park, a park where the animals are protected from hunters and poachers and I thank you for the opportunity to be up close to your creations. They are truly amazing!
